Jadestone Energy aims to establish itself as a leading oil and gas development and production company in the Asia Pacific region through a strategy of acquisition and development of producing fields and stranded discoveries.
In November 2016, Jadestone Energy (Australia) Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Jadestone Energy, completed the acquisition of the Stag oilfield offshore Western Australia. Stag currently produces about 3,400 barrels a day, but has the potential to produce significantly more through investment in new infill drilling and facility optimisation.
Jadestone Energy is also developing a number of assets within the Nam Du and U Minh gas fields in Vietnam’s Malay Basin, to rapidly bring them into production. In addition, it continues to evaluate further acquisition opportunities of fully appraised gas fields offshore Vietnam to expand its asset portfolio in this area.
The company is looking to establish up to three core operating areas in the Asia Pacific region that offer multiple growth opportunities. Having established solid potential growth platforms in Western Australia and Vietnam, Jadestone Energy is now evaluating a strong pipeline of acquisition opportunities in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
