Strategic Focus

Jadestone is pursuing a strategy to grow and diversify its production base both organically, through the successful development of the Akatara project in Indonesia and commercialisation of Nam Du/U Minh in Vietnam, as well as pursuing acquisitions that fit within Jadestone's financial framework and play to its strengths in managing maturing hydrocarbon assets.

Jadestone delivers value in its acquisition strategy by enhancing returns through operating efficiencies, cost reductions and increased production through further investment.

Climate considerations, specifically the transition towards lower carbon sources of energy, are integral to Jadestone’s business model and strategy. In 2022, Jadestone committed to achieve Net Zero Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions from its operated assets by no later than 2040. In support of this pledge, at the end of 2023, Jadestone announced plans to reduce its combined absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions from its operated assets (i) by 20% by 2026 and (ii) by 45% by 2030 (both from 2021 levels).
